40-Year Reunion in 2010

Join us for our 40-year reunion on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26, 2010. The price for attending both evenings (or just Saturday evening) is $85 per person until March 31. After March 31, the price will increase to $95 per person. If for some reason you want to attend only the icebreaker on Friday evening, there is a special reduced price of $45 per person. Each graduate that attends the reunion will receive a CD containing a class directory with information on each classmate. A form for providing this information online will be made available shortly but you can view the draft classmate information form now.

Register now by choosing one of the following two methods:

1) Pay by credit card (using a secure website)    or

2) Download/print the order form (PDF format) (Word format) and mail it in with a check or money order.

There is a special room rate at the Wyndham Dallas Love Field Hotel for those needing a hotel room for the weekend. If you make the reservation before May 1st, the room rate is $89 per night (Friday and/or Saturday night only) plus hotel tax. After that, the rate will be $189 per night. There are a limited number of rooms that are blocked out, so call the hotel now (214-357-8500 or 800-996-3426) and reserve your room early. Ask for the W. T. White High School 40th Reunion group rate when you make reservations.

FRIDAY, JUNE 25, 2010 - ICEBREAKER

Time: 7pm-10pm
Location: Wyndham Dallas Love Field Hotel (3300 W. Mockingbird Lane near the entrance to Love Field - the old Executive Inn remodeled)
Food: TBD
Drinks: cash bar
Dress: casual

Friday evening will be an informal get-together and happy hour to get reacquainted. No formal program is planned. These activities will take place in the hotel lobby lounge and bar area (see photo). For those of you that thought The Point was a little crowded and too warm at the 30-year reunion, we hope that this will be a much better and cooler opening venue.

SATURDAY, JUNE 26, 2010 - MAIN EVENT

Time: 7pm-11pm
Location: The Frontiers of Flight Museum (6911 Lemmon Ave on the southeast corner of Love Field)
Food: TBD
Drinks: cash bar
Dress: party casual

Saturday evening will be the main event including a formal program and musical entertainment. The formal program will include an "awards" ceremony and a humorous class commentary to be provided by Gary Jacobs. Musical entertainment (60's and 70's music) will be provided by The Novas, that band from our high school years still going strong after 40 years. For those staying at the Wyndham, the hotel will provide a shuttle to and from the Frontiers of Flight Museum during the event. The Frontiers of Flight Museum will provide a dramatic backdrop for the evening's event with a collection of air and space craft dramatically illuminated at night. The 60,000 square-foot gallery will provide plenty of room for the band, dancing, and tables and enough room to get away from the noiser main areas to carry on normal conversations.

A planning meeting for the 40-year reunion was held June 13, 2009 in Dallas, and committee assignments were determined for those who had expressed an interest to participate on a committee.
