40-Year Reunion Highlights (2010)
The Class of 1970 40-year reunion was an outstanding success. Our thanks to everyone on the 40-Year Reunion Committee and to all of those who attended. Friday evening (June 25, 2010) was an informal get-together and happy hour to get reacquainted. It was held at the Wyndham Dallas Love Field Hotel. There was no formal program. Saturday evening (June 26, 2010) was the main event including a formal program with a humorous class commentary and "awards" ceremony, dinner, and musical entertainment. It was held at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field.
In Memoriam and Opening Remarks
Bill Lamberth read a list of our deceased classmates and Randy Mobley made some opening remarks.
Class Commentary
Gary Jacobs gave us a mostly humorous, but sometimes reflective, commentary on our graduating class.
Awards
Linda Jo Davis Evans provided her take on information she discovered while reading the classmate information sheets that everyone had been requested to complete. She also presented certificates to the Longhorn Award winners as voted by their fellow classmates at the reunion.
Musical Entertainment
Musical entertainment (60's and 70's music) was provided by The Novas, that band from our high school years still going strong after 40 years in one of their last performances (they played their last gig about a month later).
